This is a very large umbrella. For the price you can't beat it. It has a metal pole instead of wood which is great and should last much longer. I'm really please with this and the color is so rich. It looks great on my patio. Easy to open and close.

"sucker to bargains"
i'm happy to leave my first ever review on amazon about this umbrella.khaki was out of stock when i placed the order, but it took only about 5-6 days & the ups guy was at my door. since this is our first patio umbrella, i didnt want to spend a fortune on it but was looking for something sturdy & inexpensive. with free shipping thrown in, it made a great buy for $39. very simple to set it up, i did it myself. khaki color looks very nice, the metal pole stands up sturdy & it cranks up & down very easily. i even found an awesome deal on a 28 lb umbrella base ($16.99) at the local aldi store, it matched up just perfect. we dont have a patio table yet, so we just use as a free standing umbrella, it covers the side of our patio that sun shines directly on & it does the job :)

I lost the tree that provides shade to my deck, so I ordered this umbrella. I was surprised at the size! It is quite a large umbrella, very sturdy and has a vent at the top to prevent the wind from swooping it out of its moorings. Nearly all the market umbrellas this size that I priced were far more costly and were not made of metal. This umbrella has a hand crank which is great if you don't want it fully extended.

I bought this umbrella to provide some shade on my sunny patio here in SW Florida and it does a great job. The radius is huge. My wife, daughter and I can all play under it and be in the shade. The fabric is thick and has some water repelling qualities. I also like the crank for opening and closing. It's fast, safe, and easy. The umbrella does lack a strap for tightening it together when closed which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I use a piece of rope for this instead. The only problem is that the base I bought for it is pretty flimsy so the height and heaviness of the umbrella makes for an unstable foundation. Buy a nice heavy base for it and you'll be fine. UPDATE:I have used this umbrella for 5 months and it's starting to lean over and fall apart. Rust appears to be a problem. We get a lot of rain and sun here so that'S probably a factor. Also, I keep it outside all the time. If you keep it inside and only use it outside when needed I'm sure it'd last longer but that's too inconvenient for me. It's large and heavy so I don't want to deal with moving it nor do I have the inside storage space for it. The bottom line is that since it costs $45 I can't recommend it because it didn't even last half a year. It's not durable enough for the price.

This umbrella is wonderful! It looks great, it works great, and held up great in a wind, rain and hail storm. We had previously purchased much more expensive umbrellas and were not satisfied at all. My only regret is that it is not available right now because I would purchase another one.
