Bought this for my son and it is as advertised. The only issue we had was some broken slats once we received the bed initially. Getting the new bed was a bit cumbersome as the end supplier can't ship piece parts and have to ship the full bed. Response was quick and we are pleased. Installation was simple overall.

Excellent product. Assembling it is definitely at least a 2 person job. But the wooden arms look amazing and the metal futon base is very sturdy. Haven't owned it for too long, but I'm pleased with my purchase. When opened up, it looks decently comfortable to sleep on. Strongly recommended!

This is a really nice futon!!! I thought by the way it looked and reading some reviews, I was to get the whole thing that is what attracted me to it in the first place. To my surprise no mattress. So if you are looking for just a nice frame this is a nice one.

I bought this sofa to serve both as a chair and bed, to be used daily.
Day two of chair use, I sat down on the end with the arm rest at my left and heard a sharp "twang." I lifted the futon to investigate, but found nothing.
Night two of bed use, I noted that I was now sleeping on a slope. Apparently the metal frame has bent somewhere.
I'm 5'10", 200 lbs. Imagine if I were married and there were two of us trying to sleep on this thing....

Four days have passed. I'm now sleeping in a bucket (or so it feels). Sitting on the couch yields the same sensation. The wood frame near the left armrest as you sit has broken. This part of the frame is actually several pieces of wood glued together instead of a single piece.
I've downgraded my rating from two stars to one and changed the title from "Flimsy" to "Flimsy -- Buyer Beware."

To start, I received no instructions. After three irritating phone calls, I was pointed to online PDF versions. Thanks for not forcing me to call you three times since I have all the free time in the world to sit on hold. One week later, the frame broke because two people were sitting on one-half of the futon. Clearly this is not made to handle much weight at all. Realize you're getting a one person futon, that's it.
Now the true test is how they will handle my complaints. Their customer service thus far has been very very poor, I hope they can rememdy my new broken futon soon otherwise the name Cymax will be associated with bad, regardless of whatever alliance produced the crappy thing. Someone better stand by this deal.
