Same experience as the other reviewer. It started falling apart after a few uses. AVOID this product!

Poor quality product and unresponsive sellerMay 07, 2010

BUYER BEWARE!! These chairs are made so cheaply they broke on their first use. They do not fit together properly. To try an compensate I glued and shimmed them together at multiple stress points but the wood itself is so cheap that the armrest broke in two the first weekend of use. I think the wood is a very light/low quality pine sprayed with a cedar scent. I sent multiple emails to the company but NEVER got any response. The price is cheap and the quality is even cheaper...buyer beware. If you need an adirondack chair, and plan to use it more than once, then you would be well advised to look elsewhere!

GROSS WASTE OF MONEY!Mar 17, 2011

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I ordered the "cedar" chairs and ottomans. They looked like anything BUT cedar in that they were exceedingly flimsy - "cheesy" is a more appropriate term. I assembled the chairs but each time someone sat in one of them, regardless of how long, they needed to be tightened. One person who was not at all overweight put their hands on the chair arms to assist them in getting up out of the chair. The arm broke off!!!
Save your money.

I like the design, but the material is not so great! I'm 6'2" and 300 pounds, so the arms are a smidge closer than I would like - no big deal, I can hit them with a jig saw...
The wood is a slightly soft (very) knotty pine; there are 8 screws in the assembly that went in with barely any effort at all and no pilot holes.
I bought two chairs and learned from the first one to NOT tighten all the bolts before the assembly is complete!
I anticipate getting one season out of the chairs and then having to replace the major structural beams with 2x4s.
