No Customer Support From Walker Edison They Refused To Replace Defective Springs Or The Missing Plastic Clips.Nov 20, 2009
By Christopher Alan Fields This item is defective, the springs on the bed to sofa mechanism are too small, also the item I received was missing square plastic clips that go over the top bunk mattress support bars. I contacted the distributor Walker Edison and they would not send larger springs for the sofa to bed mechanism, also they refused to send the missing plastic clips and they told me to contact Amazon or just return it, which I did. What a waste of time and work to assemble then disassemble and repack the junk defective bed, I told Walker Edison that I will never buy a junk product from there defunct so called company.

Looks really nice and well engineeredJun 23, 2011
By Name withheld because stalkers Google me and I find it annoying I bought this for my daughter's 11th birthday and she & I put it together this afternoon. She didn't believe her mom could do it, but I've put lots and lots of projects like this together over the years. I really liked how well organized all the parts were so it was no trouble figuring out the directions. The diagrams were easy to follow, though I did did a typo in which part number I needed in one step. Not difficult to figure out when you refer to the diagram.
The whole thing took me about 6 hours to put together, there are a lot of pieces. One step was a particular pain in the butt because you have to snap these little plastic tabs into I think 20 slots. Tight fit. I'm ony 5'0" , so someone taller with a better visual vantage point and arm angle probably wouldn't take so long.
For the reasonable price, I don't think you can beat this.

Not user friendly but good productAug 13, 2012
By liborcio All about fast shippintg, required assembly time and relatively good quality is true. I had one quality issue when a hole for a bolt was partially welded over but nothing that could not be fixed with the right tool. Be aware that the original ladders are unusable. Your kid will not want to use them because the metal stick will hurt his/ her feet. It is also very difficult to get from the ladder on the bed and then to get down. I am in the process of adapting an aluminum industrial ladder for easier access.

black metal bunk bedJun 04, 2012
By rxtechie71 Hello. My son and I put this together in a couple hours. Everything went well. Had to redo a couple places because I put the ends on backwards. The tough part is the plastic pieces that hold the bars in for the top bunk. I had to have a glove on in order to push the plastic pieces in.
