The mat was delivered in a week. It is very nice and I was amazed at how much it weighed. It is not a cheap doormat! I bought it as Christmas present for my aunt and I got one for myself. This mat seems like it will last as long as my house. Not overly large, but not ridiculously small either. It will do just fine. Looks exactly like the picture.
UPDATE March 19, 2013: It is still a sturdy mat, and it WILL last as long as my house. But, after a year and a half of use, the brush has flattened so that the scrolling is obscured and the word "Welcome" can't be read.
This mat still cleans shoes, but it is no longer in any shape to welcome anybody. It has turned into a utility mat, to be shunted off to a back entrance near the muddy part of the garden.

Sturdy mat. Great fit for in front of my door. Works well. Cleans relatively well too. I like the simple design as well.

The welcome mat is a nice big size and very heavy duty. We have been using it all summer and it works great - no more gravel in our house. We also have placed it on our metal landing that gets slippery when wet and it doesnt move or shift - no skidding.
